Lincoln High School follows a Comprehensive School Guidance Program that focuses on academic, career, and personal/social counseling. Lincoln counselors are here to make sure students have positive and healthy experiences, and are prepared for life after graduation. LHS students are divided into seven alphabetic groups, each group being assigned to a counselor. These “alpha” counselors work with their students all four years of high school. With the ever-changing twenty-first century, counselors are working hard to assist students with the academic and social challenges they are facing.
Students can drop in to see their counselor at lunch or after-school as well as make an appointment with the counseling secretaries.

Current Counseling Services
► Group Grief Counseling - LHS recognizes that many of our students have experienced the loss of a loved one. Working closely with Hospice of San Joaquin, a Grief Group has been developed and coordinated by Mrs. Carrie Hake (Counselor). The Grief Group is run by a Hospice Grief Counselor and runs for 6 weeks, twice a year. If you would like your child to participate in this group, please email your child's counselor or email Mrs. Hake if you would like more information.
► Nutritional/Body Image Counseling - We currently have a Nutritionist from the Kristen Watt foundation providing support services to the students at LHS. If you think that your child may benefit from working with our Nutritionist, please email your child's counselor. The goal of the Kristen Watt Foundation is to provide ways to help youth develop positive self-images, recognize the signs and symptoms of eating disorders, and know what to do if they find themselves or someone they care about faced with this problem.
